E3 Visa - Job descriptions, ONET code, prevailing wage

Hi all,

 

Looking for advice from anyone has recently successfully obtained an E3 visa for a marketing role.  We are just trying to define the position title, job description etc to give us the best chance of success.  Wondering if a Marketing Coordinator role would suffice or whether we need to go higher level like marketing manager?  Bonus points if anyone has job descriptions they've used successfully and would be willing to share

you sound like you are specifically trying to create a position for an immigrant for the purpose of getting them a work visa. you are supposed to first define what you need and look at the people already in the us and then expand your search.

 

I am aware that the e3 is a category for Australian nationals does not explicitly state you looked for us persons first but it just sounds fishy.

You don't have a job title or description defined yet? Then you're not ready to look at an E-3 visa.

There is no such requirement for an E-3 visa. You're thinking of an EB-3 visa, which provides a path for permanent residency. An E-3 is a temporary, non-immigrant, work visa.

We have a broad job description... just aware that marketing can be a little bit of a grey area when it comes to E3s so wanting to get it right the first time to save any hassle down the track.

Just create the job description the same way you would for anybody else and based on what you are looking for. Anything else would be misrepresentation.
