I have read post from the Ghana community about not showing or letting them know about engagement ceremony etc. I am a bit confused. our petition was approved in 2014 and we got denied by Ghana because of alleged misrepresentation of information in previous applications being we were married and that was said based on our customary marriage rites, we were given the option to file for a waiver which we did and they approved, we were then asked to refile which we did and again has been approved, case is ready for an interview and currently waiting to schedule. In our case they know the customary marriage has already been performed and they know we are going to reaffirm it in court by registering the marriage here in the US. so for those who are saying not to let them know about this, we don,t have any option. I think it should be case by case basis and not automatic denial like some say. Any input?

It is case by case;

the reason people here recommend not showing such photos to avoid what happened to you, that the CO confuses a engagement with a wedding ceremony.
