I am happy to announce the PJC1973...hope that is his screen name...arrives stateside today having recieved his visa! Congrats to Blue and you and continued success and happy wedding in 25 days or so!

Thanks guys!! It's 8am PST right now...so in about 13.5 hours he should be here. Got a text from him just before boarding his flight to JFK. Should be there in about 2 hours. Then has about a 5 hour layover. :wacko:

April 27: Married!!

May 4: AOS & EAD sent off.

July 28: EAD Card Arrives in Mail!

Aug 23: AOS Interview! APPROVED!!

Aug 30: Welcome to America! letter arrived.

Sept 7: Greencard arrived in the mail!

2009

May: Received Notice about Greencard Expiration end of August

July 15: Sent packet in mail!! (FINALLY!!)

July 16: Packet arrives @ CSC 10:52am Signed by V. Semegi

July 24: Received NOA (posted 7/21)

July 30: Received Bio Appt Letter in Mail

August 20 @ 2pm: Biometrics Appt. –

Sept 12: Approved!! Should be getting card within 60 days..

11:30am PST/2:30pm EST. He should be going through Immigration and Customs or even getting close to being done. His flight arrived around 12:30 EST (30 min before schedule). Anyone know how long it takes to get through Immigration at JFK? I'm sure everything is fine, I am just the worrying kind...Good thing he doesn't take off until 6pm EST...

Ok! 11:45am PST. Received 1/2 a text. Said he had problems with Immigration but sounds like he got through in the long run. It seems rarely anyone has had issues with JFK, but I guess today was a bad day... Told him they don't do EAD... Oh dear...I should have just flown him direct into Seattle...my poor guy! :unsure::crying:

Tell Pete to look on the back side of his I-94 (well, after you finish smooching and all that).

Others have been told the same thing at JFK, only to find that red smudgy stamp on the I-94 anyway.

ok. received 2nd half of text. He talked to the Duty Manager and got the EAD Stamp. He said he had lots of problems and everyone has been very rude. :angry: See if we ever fly through New York again!

You're probably well into gettin some lovin from your man, but just wanted to say Congrats!

Thanks for telling us details bout the ordeal of going thru JFK. Hopefully my man will be flying over next week, and we're still discussing JFK..

April 21 Dave arrives in America!

April 28 WE GET MARRIED!!!

May 9 Went to SS office and was denied

May 15 After gathering all paperwork, told we must file through DORA program

July 19 DORA appointment - they send paperwork to Chicago after this.

July 24 Paperwork is received by Chicago

August 9 Notice for Biometrics appointment

August 28 NOAs for AOS/EAD

Sept 6 Biometrics

Sept 26 Email saying card production ordered for EAD.. YES!!!

Oct 9 EAD card, Yay!!!!!

Dec 31 Finally got the Resident card! Yay!!!
