I`m so disappointed. I`m about applying for my citizenship April, but I`ve just heard there is news . They will stop all immigration benefits and the naturalization as well Is that possible ?

No way this is ever going to happen! People need to stop thinking that just because Trump will become President, that he will be KING and his word will be LAW! This is a county of democracy! We have a system in place for checks and balances!

In a US-type democracy, changes in law are debated in Congress before being enacted with the President's signature. Initial changes likely to affect criminal illegal immigrants and\or immigrants from muslim-majority nations. I don't foresee any effect to Naturalization laws for legal immigrants.

Don't blindly believe friends or rumors.

I was just reading an article about all the fake news on the internet, especially on facebook. One guy actually makes a living writing fake news and he went so far as to say he wonders if the outcome of the election was determined by fake news that nobody fact-checked. It's a shame we can't hardly rely on anything anymore. Go ahead and file, as others mentioned.

The Senate has not even appointed a committee to study immigration laws

they can not change without a Senate committee studying the issues and writing a new bill to change any of the process

it is controlled solely by our fees / not under the federal budget

Congressmen on Homeland Security are a part of immigration and the other 6 homeland Security sections such as airport security

there are 7 total Homeland Security Departments

all that will affect interviews is the person the new President assigns to be ambassador of each embassy which he is to do in first quarter of his term

Bills are assigned to committees on AFTER they are introduced. There are currently MULTIPLE different standing committees that an immigration-related bill could be assigned to. I suggest you consult the "School House Rock" cartoon on how a bill becomes a law because I think even that makes the process clear.

IN SUMMARY: There are no current changes towards immigration, Donald Trump is not yet President so their wont be until at least after he is sworn in in January 2017.
