Hello everyone.

I have spent 3 days and 4 hours so far this morning trying to find out this information. There is no up to date info online anywhere with this country. I seriously want to cry right now. U.s. embassy, thailand embassy, and nvc are zero help. My fiance lives in Philipines. We have got our nvc letter stating they sent it to the manila office and we can now do the medical,Interview, etc..but we can't because she needs police clearance from Thailand because she recently worked there for 3 years. She went to go get her fingerprints done and they would not do them. They "need a letter of request"....where do we get this letter of request !!!!??? Thanks guys

Letter of request is obtained from the embassy. I will include contact information for the USEM. You won't want to hear how the embassy usually issues the request letter... as a 221g document request AFTER the interview.

Contacting the Embassy (Manila)

Manila Visa Information and Appointment Service center hotlines at (632) 976-8500, (632) 976-8501 or (632) 976-8502.

The center is open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (Manila time), except on Philippine and U.S. holidays.

Callers in the U.S should call (703) 520-2235 on its Eastern Standard Time equivalent of operation hours.

Skype: To use Skype to speak to a customer service representative Monday Friday from 8:00am to 8:00pm., please add a new contact to your Skype account with the Skype name ustraveldocs-philippines.

Here a link to the K-1 process in Manila: http://visaconnection-philippines.com/index.php/2-visa-process/3-usem-k-1-visa

Go to this website and select your country you need your PC from.

https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/fees/

That won't get him a letter of request that the Thai embassy is asking for, that link only provides the process.

Visa chase and citizenship.. DONE!

You edited your original post ...

Sadly your added links don't offer anything to assist with getting a request letter from the embassy, which is the issue the OP has bumped into.

In fact those links don't offer anything at all... one goes to this topic, the other goes nowhere.

Yes these people are correct. That link has been visited by me at least 20 times just to try to find the document and process. I know the process I need the document. Just got off phone with us embassy manila, they did nothing for me as I expected. They also could not help my fiance when she called twice. So irritating :((((

go to Window 38 at the US embassy in Manila and ask for the consulate letter requesting the PC or email:

IVMANILAREPLIES@STATE.GOV

***Request for the consulate to issue a letter officially requesting the Thailand Police Force to release a COC or certificate of Clearance.

The US embassy can send this to you by Mail or by email

We can't do the interview without the police report. We will be denied, correct?

No you won't be denied. You can do the interview with a missing document. At the end of the interview they will notify you of the 221g, then the embassy will email you the 221g document request (they don't do actual letters anymore)

It would be great to be able to get this done early as it can take a couple months. I would start by contacting the embassy, I gave you contact info earlier, hoping you can get a request letter for this early.

I emailed then and already got a response. I guess this is the letter!! I wish it had a letterhead but I guess this is how they do it. (Can I not post photos here?

It's an email. Email does not use letterhead. Send the document on for your PC.

Posting pictures is not straight forward here.
