Trump presidency - effects on foreign spouse of USC?

Hi Everyone,

My French husband has a I-751 currently pending (sent to VSC back in July 2016), and given the VSC processing times I'd be surprised if his petition is approved until May/June 2017. We are eligible to apply him for citizenship next July through the 3 year rule -90 days (he arrived in Sept 2014). We would like to do this ASAP because he is waiting to become a citizen so he can enlist in officer school in the US air force or coast guard, a life long dream of his.

My question - do you think since Trump will be the new President he will try and restrict foreign spouses of USC from a) obtaining 10 year GC, b) obtaining citizenship, or 3) enrolling in our military? I know he has only talked seriously about illegal immigrants and possibly restricting the number of work related GC given, but anything about foreign spouses?

I may be overthinking but I figure I would ask. I don't loathe Trump the way some people do and I hope he is a good President and wish him well for the sake of our country.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
