Fiancé hasB1/B2 visa from Jamaica should he apply for K1 or we get married in Jamaica

He can't enter the US with a non immigrant visa (b1/b2) intending to adjust status because that's visa fraud. He can enter and get married and leave after, though. You can also get married in Jamaica if you'd like. If you get married, you will file for a cr1 visa. If you want to get married here and have him stay, you'll have to go the k1 route

Edit: take the time to research, read the guides, flow charts and decide which visa best suits your situation.

You can choose the K2 fiance visa (faster) or the Cr-12 spousal visa after marriage (cheaper, allows travel and work upon entry). Many people choose the CR-1 as it allows the wedding to take place abroad, where his family and friends may not have the money- or not be able to get the tourist via to attend a wedding in the USA. No matter which visa you choose, he can visit with his B2 during the process, but cannot move here, live or work here until a K1 or CR-1 is granted.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
