Anyway, let's not lose hope and still pray for the best that our turn for our GC will come soon. :clock:

Last update: we accepted the fingerprint fee for your Form I-485

Date of last update: October 20, 2015

Field Office: Los Angeles County, CA

Waiting time: 380 days as of today.

Two service requests, and a request for help from congresswoman (Oct 17, 2016).

First service request (July 5, 2016) resulted in "your case is delayed due to backlog", while the office is supposedly processing applications filed in March 2016. Put in a second service request today. The people are nice at USCIS customer service, but I have a feeling that nice means that nothing's going to happen. Congresswoman has not responded to my request yet.

Met: June 2004

Face-to-Face 1st time: June 2010

I moved to the US: August 2015

This might make you feel less miserable - we filed June 4, 2015. Yes, that means we've been waiting for 17 months now. My poor husband is absolutely sick of waiting and it's a constant source of stress.

Filing date: June 4, 2015

Last update: Fingerprint fee received

Date of last update: June 4, 2015

Field Office: Washington, DC - however, our case was never there. We got a Notice of Potential Interview Waiver letter in September 2015. Our case was at the National Benefits Center until July 2016 when it was transferred to the Reno, NV office. We did an infopass appt last month and we were told the file was touched in September.

Waiting Time: 17 goddamn months.

Have you tried putting a SR? That's what's upsetting. People who filed after us got theirs already.

How do you file infopass? Will it expedite the GC process?

I contacted my congressman back in September and was told that they were still running background checks. I then filed a service request back in September and I got a response late last month telling me that my case is finally in the field office and to wait 90 days for an interview! Hopefully I get good news soon!

Yes, we did about 3 or 4 service requests - they did nothing at all except tell us that due to factors not related to our case, there is a delay in processing our case. NO !

To schedule an infopass appointment, you can visit this website: https://my.uscis.gov/appointment. It does nothing to expedite the process - we've already had about 4 of these appointments to find out what the hell is going on. They were slightly helpful because they can give more information than a phone call, but they don't really do anything to speed up the process. Just gives a little peace of mind when stuck in the processing black hole! The one thing they were super helpful with, though, was when our renewal EAD/AP was taking a long time and we had a trip to Germany scheduled - they were able to give us an expedited Advance Parole so we were able to go on our trip. We ended up not needing it anyway, however, as the combo card arrived just in time.

My congresswoman's inquiry launched a RFE for an expired medical. I'll find solace in the fact that at least a person has looked at my file, which means that my application isn't LOST under anyone's desk. Going to see about sorting that out asap, I just want this to be over.

So new stats:
