Time between removal of conditions and applying for naturalization

Hi all,

Trying to figure out when my wife can apply for naturalization. She has been a permanent resident for 3 years, however 2 of those years was with a conditional green card.

Married: Feb 2013

Conditional GC: July 2013

10 year GC: July 2016

When can she apply for naturalization? Does the 3 year period begin when she got the conditional GC, or when she received the 10-year "unconditional" GC?

BTW, I am a US citizen by birth, so no worries on that end.

It's from when she received her first green card (July 2013).

Go to this website and click on the link to the calculator. Type in the date that is three years from when your wife received her conditional GC and voila! It will tell you the exact date she can file. She probably was eligible in April, actually.

She can apply up to 90 days prior to her "resident since" date on her GC. Just so you know, a conditional and an unconditional GC both provide permanent residency so the criteria have nothing to do with the kind of GC one has. Good luck!
