Hi guys,

My fiancee recently filed a k-1 petition for me, I'm a bit nervous because this is my second time to be a beneficiary. My previous relationship did'nt work out, he was unfaithful. Im stressed out that previous case will cause a delay. Please I need your advise. :(

Im nervous about the process. My ex was unfaithful. Here's the dates of previous petition

2012-Filed

2013-Denied (due to not submitting his final divorce decree)

2013-Filed I-290 (notice of appeal to reopen the case)

March 2014-filed for cancellation of appeal (to refile the petition)

August 2015- filed for cancellation of appeal (second time)

February 2015- (case cancelled)

But he never refiled because he met someone else.

The fact that it has been less than a year since your last relationship with a USC who also filed for you is unlikely to cause a delay in processing, but it is a red flag, which makes approval more difficult. The best you can do is document your current relationship well, and meet often and for as long as you can, as face time is very important.
