hello everybody. me and my husband filed I-130 with supported documents and proofs to Nebraska service center on June 1, 2016 for CR1 Visa.

On June 6 USCIS has received our file.

Then on October 20, 2016 when we track on USCIS web it says that " case was transferred and new office has jurisdiction "

and today October 24 my husband has received the hard copy of the notice and it says..

" This is to notify you that we have transferred the above application or petition to the USCIS office at :

Texas Service Center "

i wonder if there are any Nebraska Service Center filers who experience the same thing ?

Can people join me in this forum from NSC filers who has not got NOA2 so that we can update each other about our progress if we get any approval as well as to know how many people has got an outstanding case with the service center?

Thanks all for taking the time to read this. I hope we will hear some positive news in the coming weeks.

Hi Corry,

Thank you for posting this! Our petition is also at NSC, we filed August 15th. I feel like you are lucky that yours was transferred to Texas! I wish that was the case for us. Seems like the Texas Service Center is up to date on their I-130s and Nebraska is backed up. I hope they send ours over to Texas, especially since we live in Austin, Texas. Makes more sense to me... Anyway it's really nice to have an idea of what NOA1 date they are processing in Nebraska right now. Good luck to you. If you hear anything else, please let me know and I will do the same for you!

Filed: Timeline

I am US citizen applied for my husband on December 2015. My husband lives in India. My I-130 case received by USCIS Nebraska service center on December 2015. USCIS never asked for Ref. Today , I just received the following response from my senator.

Dear xxxxxx:

Thank you for contacting my office with your matter. I have contacted U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) on your behalf.

According to USCIS, “From a review of USCIS records, we understand that your constituent’s Form I-130 Immigrant Visa Petition, received an initial examination. Currently, your constituent’s case is pending assignment to an officer for further examination. Once this review process is complete, this case will be processed as expeditiously as possible under applicable laws, regulations and policies. Unfortunately, we cannot state, at this time, when the processing of your constituent’s case will be completed.”

I understand your frustration with this matter. However, I cannot expedite the review of your case.

I hope this information will be of help to you. If I can be of further assistance to you, please do not hesitate to contact my office again.

Here my Question is: Background check, is it complete? Because, on July 2016, USCIS responded my SR that my case is pending security check.

I sent out my husband l-130 petition on October 12, 2016 and received a NOA on October 14, 2016. It is currently at Nebraska Service Center. I am here patiently waiting. How do they decide which case goes to which service center? and why do they transferred it?

Hello Ruby,

i have no idea which case goes to which center and why do they transfer them. some people said it is because the service center is on workload, and some people said its because of presidential election so it makes it slower.

on my second I-797 notice it just says like this :

" We transferred this case because the record indicates that office has jurisdiction over the case... "

Hello ALL!

I sent out my I-130 for my wife on July 5th and it was received on JULY 6th by the Nebraska office.

Been waiting to hear back from the USCIS and received a letter in the mail stating my file was

transferred to Texas on 11/18/16. I received the hard copy of that notice today (yesterday 11/26)

Based off of other forums and profiles I've read, I'm hoping that we get a final approval by sometime next month.

I will update my timeline and this forum when I hear anything back.

I will say I am glad it was transferred because apparently, Nebraska is super backed up - so I hope Texas can get things moving.

My wife and I are eager to move onto the next step.

Good Luck everyone!

hello,

i was recently transferred to texas (November 17th) from nebraska (PD July 1st).  i noticed a few people on a different texas (TSC) thread were approved in 1-2 months. i wonder what makes one petitioner/country/service center so dramatically different?  take a look at the nebraska i-130 thread and you will see what i am talking about.

thoughts?

Hey Love,

I completely agree. You and I have transfer dates a day apart so hopefully we are approved around the same time & im praying it's sometime this month. I was expecting the first part of the process to be 5 months tops. It's going on 6 months now - I'm getting anxious.

Good luck though. As far as what's different who knows. What I do know is it's hard to get your case expedited - pregnancy (which you would hope could make you a priority) isn't even one ...

all we we can do is wait.
