Hi, I was wondering if we need to pay travel tax when leaving NAIA, we got our tickets from Asiana Airlines..

My husband is a US Citizen and I am a greencard holder.. I did pay travel tax last year but I don't remember if this time he needs to pay it as well.

and is there any other fees we need to prepare? Does the airport accept USD? I always pay in PHP and didn't really have dollars until I do a stopover.

thank you so much for the help!

How long have your been in the Philippines. Only a couple weeks/months, then no. You will have to pay a P200 waiver fee for the travel tax, get this done before you check-in with the airlines. Your USC husband does not pay travel tax. Were you there under 6 months? Then no ECC fee either.

HI PhilippinesSagot! What is the ECC fee?

Hey Steve! Say HI to Joan~

It is a exit exemption certificate. If you are in the Philippines 6 months or more it is required (unless you are there using a BB stamp from what I have been told). Must be obtained no more than 30 days before traveling

I dont understand - I was there last week and they wouldnt let me leave CRK without paying 600php I believe the amount was. I was only there for a week.

They gave me a little yellow sticker attached to my Asiana boarding pass. I had to go outside the securtiy area to the ATMs - get the money - then go thru security again... pay the fee...

I wasnt given any alternatives.

You don't need to worry too much about that as you enter on a BB stamp don't you?

Ah...No we don't stay long enough for a BB stamp...only 17 days last time!

I dont understand - I was there last week and they wouldnt let me leave CRK without paying 600php I believe the amount was. I was only there for a week.

Now I am totally confused. All Joan paid was the P200 "tax." I don't know what the P600 was for...any kids?

Not sure what the P600 was, being it was Clark it could have been a terminal fee. (I know Cebu is still collecting a terminal fee)

Yes the P200 is the travel tax waiver fee. Once Joan has her U.S. passport that will go away also

Yah, that part I get...just wondering what the previous poster's P600 was for--her and 2 kids? It will be nice when Joan gets her US passport---we did a walk-in early biometrics today (Honolulu for those who are curious) with no problem...one step closer to the end of this particular journey....salamat kaibigan, for all of your support and guidance over the years. We can see the light at the end of the tunnel!

Ahhhh....missed your comment about Clark....could be....

Good news on getting biometrics done!! When my wife was in the process she had her interview about 40 days after biometrics. Those I have been chatting with as of late, east and west coast, that have completed biometrics are moving past 4 months without an interview date, whereas my wife did oath taking in under 4 months. Maybe USCIS is jammed with those "syrian troops" that are coming in on the UPS flights

Thanks. The Honolulu Field Office is small, so hopefully it will get done sooner than later. We'll see!

Mabuhay! There are no terminal fees at NAIA anymore (it is included in your ticket from what I understand), but there are still terminal fees at other airports in the Philippines, Sounds like all you need to pay is the P200 "exempt" tax!
