My wife and I married September 7th, 2016. So far I have only added her as my beneficiary of my life insurance and benefits at work. I have yet to add her to my bank account which I do plan to do but I understand I need to go to the bank and I'm not sure all I have to provide. Is it pointless to submit my I-130 without showing co-mingling of finances? I feel like I'm light on the kind of proof they seem to be asking for since she's out of the country and I'm doing most things by myself which all I have my name alone on them due to it being hard to add her to things with her not being here. This probably has been asked a million times before but I see some people say they just submitted pictures and affidavits and copies of plane ticket to show they made trips to see each other.

The more ties you provide, less likely to encounter any issues or RFE. My wife and I opened a joint bank account in a regional bank, it was super easy, i just showed my US visa (BCC/B1-B2), i'm sure a passport copy is enough if spouse is not present, they didn't even asked for our marriage certificate. I've been told that is way easier to add your foreign spouse using a small regional bank all the time.

If this is not possible you can send proof of checks or wired money sent to your spouse.

since you already have her as beneficiary on your benefits specially life insurance, you have a very strong case.

That is a very normal scenario. Provide relationship evidence via trips to visit each other, ongoing communication, and information on your beneficiaries. Make sure to include this information spanning your relationship. It does not have to be financial co mingling, USCIS ect understands you do not live in the same country.
