Case Was Sent To The Department of State

On October 4, 2016, we sent your case, Receipt Number **************, to the Department of State for visa processing. Please visit our website for general information on Consular Processing. If you move, go towww.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

What is next ? I should receive my

NOA2 via mail and then call VNC ? How long time do you think I will be scheduled for embassy interview ?

As long as you have your NVC number, you can now pay for the visa fee and then schedule your interview.

Hello,

I don't think so. I still need to get the NOA2 and then call NVC. I think I still need a document from NVC to get police clearance. Please correct me if I am wrong.

USCIS will forward case to NVC which will be updated on the case status. Then in few working days NVC will receive then the next stage will start

This message means your case is going to NVC. You are done at USCIS. Now give it 2 weeks then start calling NVC for case number. It usually takes 3 to 4 weeks but be proactive.

You ask how long to interview. You have a long way until then.

You have about 1 month to get case#. Then about 2 to 3 months of processing and to get to case complete.

Then you wait to be scheduled for interview your embassy is about 2 to 3 months after case complete to get a date.

In my signature below is the link to the NVC Process wiki. Read this while you are waiting for your petition to arrive and getting your paperwork together.
