Hi all,

First I would like to share the situation of me and fiance to have a better understanding of our somewhat complicated case. I was working here in the USA 2012-2013 (I was single at the time). Went back to the Philippines and left my job December 2013 where my family is due to Typhoon Haiyan as my family needed help. I continued to finish my college diploma and had my diploma ready by 2014 which required internship before I could claim it which by then was 2015. I met my fiance 2014 during my process of diploma. I decided to go back to the U.S. and work again since I had my diploma, I am now currently working and have submitted the Form I-129F which we checked and has been approved. Just waiting for the letter now. What we're worried about is her upcoming interview as they will need the Affidavit of Support. I've only been here for 4 months but by the time of her interview probably 6 months. I'm currently employed and making more than the 125% required. Problem is, they need a federal income tax return of the previous year if what we are reading is correct that is. Which I can't provide since the last time I worked was 2013 and just got back here. Please help in what I have to do or if there is any alternative ways of doing this. I have assets in the Philippines worth $250,000 (House) if that helps any, but none currently in the U.S. Hoping for your responses!

Thanks,

Luke

Provide statement that you were not legally required to file 2015 taxes due to being a student and having no income. State that you have gradated and are now employed earning more than the 125% requirement. Submit letter from employer and all of your most recent pay stubs. Hope it is accepted or that you are one of the many lucky ones going through Manila that are not even asked for the I-134 and financials.
