Hi everyone,

I am petitioning for my fiance who lives in New Brunswick, Canada. Can anyone tell me about how long the process takes on his end? And will he seriously have to take TWO separate trips to Montreal (which has the closest government approved doctor)!?

I pretty much have an idea of what the process entails, but if anyone can shed some light on it, I would really appreciate it.

Thank you!

He only has to make one trip to Montreal. It takes 3 days to get the results back. If it's cheaper to travel twice then that may be better.

K1 take about 4-8 months. Then after your fiance enters the USA and gets married, he will have to adjust his status. That's $1070. He won't be able to work or travel outside the USA for about 90 days after filing the adjustment of status.
