Package received with Passport & Visa from 2GO - CONCERNED

Alright. So my fiance received her passport with the visa in it.

It was all wrapped up together in a large plastic bag of sorts.

Her passport was INSIDE the bag with this manila type folder containing a bunch of documents.

There is a piece of paper with this package telling her she can open the plastic bag to get her passport... so she did and she resealed the plastic.

Here's the run-down:

There is no OTHER plastic. The manila envelope is sealed... but no other plastic.

There does not appear to be a visible "immigrant data summary" anywhere. There were two loose documents given to her with the package. One was a "WARNING" document telling her that she could open the plastic to get her passport and that's it.

The other was a "Notice to K2 visa holders."

Where is this "immigrant data summary" that she needs for the CFO?

I think the forums have already answered this. Her visa is a K1 visa... so she doesn't get the "immigrant data summary" because her visa is actually a "non-immigrant" visa.

Is this correct? Because I'm freaking out a little bit here.

And there was no other plastic bags. Just the one holding the manila-sealed folder and her passport. That's it.

You know what. I apologize. I freaked out for no reason. It even says on the CFO website "US-bound emigrants (except for K visa holders): Immigrant Data Summary."

My bad. This post can be deleted if the moderators wish to do so.

You can open the plastic bag and remove the passport. YOU CANNOT open the brown paper envelope.

Most just take a razor blade and slit along the bottom of the passport and remove it leaving the brown envelope intact within the plastic for safe keeping. Always carry this packet with your carry on luggage and DON'T LOOSE IT or your not getting into the country once you arrive at your POE.

You are K-1 there is not an IMMIGRANT DATA SUMMARY.. that is for immigrant visas only. CFO makes note that this does not apply to K-1 on their site.
