IR5 2015 HELP!I

Hi everyone. I need help regarding our case. I hope somebody can explain or advice me what to do.

Last June 2015, I petitioned my mother. The Philippine government changed her name so she had to get a passport in order for NVC to change her name. It took her over a year to get her passport though.

My problem is, last year, I guess it was October when I got the NOA2, and I paid the fees online. All I needed to do is to submit our affidavit of support and her passport (unavailable that time). So, In first week of May, I sent a letter to the NVC, saying that my mother's documents are not yet ready.

My question is, now that my mother has her passport? Can I still send those documents to NVC despite of being almost a year (11 months) late? Please enlightened me. It's my first time to petition, I know nothing. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Yes, you can. Get on with it quickly, though, because after one year of inactivity, NVC will administratively close he case.

Hi, thank you. It will be inactive in 3 days I guess. But, I sent a letter last May saying that give us time, my mother isn't ready yet. Does it count or no? Thank you so much, I appreciate it a lot!!!!
