Hi wanted some information thanks my husband filed for me and my daughter his step daughter but at different times. Mine was December and hers was April. Mine is already at NVC and he got the forms to pay the fees but we decided to hold off till my daughter reach we hoping we would be reunited by Christmas. Her was sent yesterday to department of state which take four weeks to be seen. My question is this is there any information on getting hers merged with mine to speed up the process thanks she is six. Cause to my calculation we won't be processed to next year any information it the would be helpful thanks.

Hi,

It is recommended your hubby request through NVC to combine the both petitions so that they can be sent to Port of Spain embassy together, rather than separately. This would mean that your case would be placed under Supervisor Review until your daughter's own has reached up to yours. You and hubby must keep checking up on this regularly to ensure that both remain together once you get notification that hers has reached up to the point that yours is at this time.

Good luck on your visa journey! :)

It was only "sent" to NVC just like yours but have not gotten a response from NVC indicating a case #, right? The same process for yours will be the same for hers. USCIS center ➡ NVC ➡ back to you to pay IV and AOS fee and prepare both packets to send back to NVC ➡ sent to embassy for interview at PoS.

Priority dates do not apply to IR1/CR1 visa applicants. The priority date you get is the date USCIS accepted your application.

A portion of my signature should help you.

If it was sent to the NVC yesterday, he can start calling the NVC next Thursday. It shouldn't take a month (sometimes it does though) to get case numbers. Then he can tell them to join the two cases so he only has to pay one AOS fee.
