I'm a US Citizen filing for my parents, my father is scheduled for an interview at the Embassy at home and we are getting all the documents ready.

My understanding of the Interview Letter is that he needs to bring MY Original Birth Certificate with him to the interview??? I ask because I currently have it here in the U.S so getting it back to him in time for the interview is going to be a challenge.

Do they really need my Original Birth certificate?

He can pick up another birth certificate / you are US virgin islands and he can actually have as many originals as he needs / you should have at least 2 yourself

Sorry, I'm not in the Virgin Islands (need to change my location)

I'm in Virginia, and my Dad is in Nigeria.

So they really do require the original?
