I recently lost my job few weeks before my wife have a baby. Precise i dont have enough money in my account to show at the embassy. am trying to invite my mother to come to the state to meet her grandchild and also help taking care of my wife who underwent C section. My dad have vowed in sponsoring my mum since i dont have a job yet. Now my question is. Since i am the one inviting my mum to US, is it possible for my dad to help in showing affidavit of support for her trip? also does the invitation letter need to state that my dad will be sponsoring my mum or how can i go about all the process.

There is n i sponsor or money in an account needed from a US based person to get a tourist visa. You can write a letter stating she can stay with you for free, or that your dad will pay for her plane ticket, and how you are looking forward to seeing mom, but the main thing to get a tourist visa is for your mom to do- she needs to book the appointment at the US embassy, and she needs to convince them that she has strong ties to home, reasons to return after visiting- and that she will NOT work in the USA (babysitting/ caring for the daughter-in-law after a c-section is considered work, as otherwise an American nanny or care taker may be paid for that job); she is simply coming to see ehr new grandchild and all the family.
