Hi guys! I would like to know if anyone of you here gone through the DNA testing with their child? I cannot look for such topic here so I'm just posting it here since we are applying for CR1 visa for me and IR2 for my son.. If so, i would like to ask how long did you have to wait for the visa to be issued? We've been waiting for 3 weeks now since the embassy got the result on Aug. 31, 2016 (positive-99.9996%) and til now we havent heard anything from them. We've been waiting since July 25, 2016 when we were put on administrative processing and its very stressful coz my family, we really wanted to be reunited.

Joyannerapanan, I have had experience with helping families on the DNA Testing side of things for several years. From my experience, families received their visas anywhere from 30 to 90 days from the date the embassy received your results. So, I would just wait until the first or second week of October to inquire if you do not receive a notice from the embassy about your status.

I wish you well with the process. Good luck!

Thank you for the reply! Should I call them or just wait for it?

I would wait a couple more weeks just to see if you receive some kind of response from immigration. Also, if you still have your tracking number from the shipment of your results to immigration. I would check to see who signed for it at the USCIS immigration office and make sure you print a copy, just in case you need to prove to immigration that they received your results.
