Police Certificate - Egypt

Hello everyone. I have two questions in regards to the police certificate.

The place where my husband gets his police certificate from, what does he tell them it's for? For the US Embassy or for the NVC.. or what exactly?

The police certificate is valid for 3 months, right? My husband is planning on getting his soon, so if it expires prior to the interview, does the US Embassy require him to get a new one?

Thanks in advance for any advice you can provide me. :):content:

yes if it expired he will be required to get a new one, before you send it to NVC make sure its translated to English. Send both Arabic and English translation. Triple double check, you send the translated version, I forget to send the english translation and we got checked list :(

Interesting, We didn't get an english translation of the police certificate and had no problems...

We DID get 2 police certificates. We made sure to get a new one before the interview. Because they expire and because we just didn't want to take a chance.

Thank you thisFUNjouney and dillygoose for your replies. I'll just be safe and get translations when the time comes. I still have not been approved yet by USCIS.. my PD is April 7; just preparing documents for the next stage and being sure what I need to do next. Hoping soon we'll be approved. :) Thanks again :)
