about to come to the united states, what do we need to do still?

we were approved and in October we will be together again but this time in the united states , however i am wondering what else needs to be taken care of prior to leaving china? Are we required to do more in China or is she free and clear to come here before we begin the landslide of paperworks for the AOS and SSN ? What small details need to be completed before she can be eligible to work? maybe this stuff is located in the guides section but it seems a little vague for me. any advice or guidance is appreciated..

Anything she would need to do in China before leaving would pertain to personal affairs.

When the paperwork for AOS is filed, an EAD can be filed for concurrently at that time; she will not be able to work until she has the EAD in hand.

As Ryan said, once you have your Visa in hand, there is nothing else left to do in China aside from tie up loose ends. End any contracts/lease agreements, Pack your bags, say your good byes, ect..

When she arrives in the US with a K-1 Visa, there will be a several month period where she is stuck, and needs to find ways to occupy her time. She can't return home without AP or GC, she can't work without EAD. So it's best to find things she can do to keep her mind off of home for a bit, and learn the new city. My wife went for walks daily, saw all of the nearby parks, visited the shopping centers. Spent some time at the nearby library. She even used Wechat and QQ to locate others nearby.
