No letter from NVC?

Hello,

We received our NOA2 about 4 weeks ago, but never heard from the NVC. Upon emailing them 2 weeks ago, I was told to contact the embassy in London where my fiancé will be interviewing. To do that, I needed a case number, so I called the NVC and obtained our case number. I still have not received a letter from them and my fiancé has not heard from London. Is this normal?? I've read the guides and know there's not much we can do (aside from him getting his police check done) until he receives a packet from the London embassy, but has anyone else not received a letter from the NVC, yet was able to obtain a case number?

Some receive the letter, some don't. What do you need it for anyway? You get your case number by calling NVC, just like you said you did.

You check your status here by using the case number you got from NVC: https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/

It should say "Ready" by now.

If you dont get your case number yet I suggest you to call the NVC again. And if you got it, you can check your status on the below link. You can also fill up your DS160 there.

Yes, just checked that and it says "Ready." So I'm assuming that means we need to wait for the embassy to send him a packet? I'm sorry; I've dug through guides and such and even been on the embassy website and it's all just a little confusing. I read somewhere that the London embassy will send him a packet with instructions on how to schedule his interview along with forms and others that say no, no packet, do it all online, and I have no idea which one is correct, lol.

Most of the countries send packet 3 either to you or your fiance's email.

Your fiance/e should also received the hard copy of NOA2 as you will eventually need it once you get to US for AOS. You can also email your embassy for your packet 3.

I have the NOA2 hard copy as I am the US petitioner. I'm just keeping that with me, unless he needs it for the embassy interview? Thank you SO MUCH for your help!

Not necessary need it i guess. But to make sure just send her/him a scan copy and then tell him/her to print it out. We got an advice and did the same thing. I am the beneficiary and were now waiting for our packet 3 and interview.

Make sure you check your own email very carefully too (spam filters as well) as NVC and embassy might not have his email, so they'll forward the email to your address instead. That happened to us.
