Scheduling Vancouver medical and immunizations!

I've just scheduled my interview (Oct 26th woohoo!) and I'm going to attempt to book my Vancouver medical tomorrow. I have a few concerns before booking the appointment:

1) I've read that it's a good idea to get it done approx 2 weeks before the interview date. Is this to ensure that it's valid for the AOS paperwork? The medical is valid for 6 months, however I've read that K1 applicants do not need to get another medical if AOS is filed within 1 year of the Canadian medical. How does this make sense? If it matters, I'm planning to enter the USA as soon as possible after the visa is issued.

2) Would having it a month beforehand really make that much difference?

3) Immunizations: I had a titer bloodtest as I had the MMR vaccine in 2008. Results show that have no immunity to measles, but okay for mumps and rubella. I've called about a dozen immunizations clinics and can't get a straight answer about if I need two doses of the MMR or just a booster. Any ideas?

My GP (stupidly) gave me the Td and not the Tdap. So, FYI, in BC the pertussis vaccine is available by itself for around $45, however the full Tdap is FREE (Obviously I'm going to get the free one). I've been told that you can get the Td/Tdap shot again at any time, but it's advisable to wait at least a month to avoid extreme side effects such as incredible arm pain and swelling.

1) surrey gives you the results next day. Visa validity is tied to medical expiration.

2) see above

3)just an mmr booster.
