To be honest everything can ba a photocopy and bring originals to interview. Even if you send an original i-864 you can bring another one to the interview.

But isn't it mandatory to send the original I-864 to NVC?

No. But either way its not like you cant have multiple signed copies (as in all are signed with a pen vs photocopies)

The reason I say no is because EP countries dont send originals and bring it to interview.

But for those of us that have to use old fashioned snail mail, isn't it a requirement to send the original I-864? I ask as I am about to send the package to NVC shortly and don't want to end up with a checklist by sending a photocopy when the original is needed.

It doesnt matter. You can 100 have originals of it if you want. Send an original and take an original to interview if you want. No it doesnt matter. I havent seen anyone checklisted for it personally. For items within being wrong but not for original signature since they changed the other requirements.

Here in Philippines, I know a few applicants who got RFE bec their petitioner mailed out a photocopy of AOS instead of original so better mail the original AOS with signature to avoid more hassle in the future.
