Mistake on affidavit of support

Hello everyone,

So we just found out our lawyer made a mistake while filling out the I-864 affidavit of support, he put a wrong date of birth for my husband, we never saw this as he was the one who took care of everything and sent it to NVC.

Now that he handed us the documents for me to take to the interview next month, we were going through them and found out about this. The lawyer actually put my father in law's date of birth. Don't know how that could have happened.

We already filled out a new form and printed it out.

Will that be a problem at the consulate? When they see that his date of birth is wrong?

I'm worried about this.

As long as his date of birth is correct on the IV application (DS-260) it doesn't really hurt. But wise to have a corrected I-864 at interview to give over. CO will like you are being proactive.
