Naturalization before Removal of Conditions. Is it real?

Hello,

I received my Conditional Green Card December 2015. In May my husband and I have to leave the US due to his work (I already received re-entry permit). Anyway, recently he sent me the link, which clearly states that I am eligible to file for naturalization without condition being removed.

Have anybody ever tried it?

The other question is if it works where do I go for my Biometrics in the states or at the consulate of the country where we currently reside?

The U.S. citizen must be “regularly stationed abroad” in the employment of:

• The U.S. government; or

• An American institution of research recognized as such by the Attorney General; or

• An American firm or corporation engaged in whole or in part in the development of foreign trade and

commerce of the U.S., or a subsidiary thereof; or

• A Public International Organization in which the U.S. participates by treaty. Per Title 8 of the Code of Federal

Regulations, Part 319.5, these organizations are: The North Atlantic Treaty Organization and The UN and all

agencies and organizations which are a part thereof; or

• Is authorized to perform the ministerial or priestly functions of a religious denomination having a bona fide

organization within the U.S. or is engaged solely as a missionary by a religious denomination or by an

interdenominational mission organization having a bona fide organization within the U.S.;

So you have to determine if your spouse's American Company falls within the above criteria.

Isn't this such a vague and huge umbrella? Any firm doing business abroad could be considered developing foreign trade.

Good read! Maybe OP's spouses company could provide an immigration attorney to clarify eligibility.

A friend of mine was employed by a US company abroad while he went through his ROC. (he was the one who was employed, not the US citizen wife). Not sure what and how he did it but his company covered all his immigration legal expenses.

The questions regardless biometrics is still opened thou!

No biometrics taking at US embassy or consulate.

People who are active military stationed overseas can do that on their base.
