Hi all,

My husband's Haitian passport is set to expire in a couple months. So I'm trying to figure out how to renew it while in the USA. I'm sure someone else has done this and I'd love some guidance on how to proceed. I've Googled for the Haitian Consulate in the USA but I don't trust that the websites are legit.

Also, do you have any information about registering the birth of a child with the Haitian government so that they can be a dual citizen? I'd assume that if you can answer the passport question, that will point me in the right direction for the citizenship question.

Thanks!

According to the website of the Embassy of Haiti to the U.S., the Haitian consulate that serves residents of Minnesota is the Consulate of Haiti in Chicago.
