Hello all, I'm compiling my application, I just returned from Jamaica where I visited my fiance we spent my birthday together and had a wonderful time for the week I was there. Thanks to this site I have complied almost everthing I need I only need to get my digital photos developed, and get a receipt faxed to me from the hotel we stayed.

My question is should I submit, originally signed G-325A I-129F and all my other forms letter of intent and such or should I submit copies of all of these to VT, and another question. Can I used copies of my naturalization certificate, I think I read somewhere that it should not be duplicated.

Thanks for your help.

Hello,

I am glad you had a nice birthday in Jamaica! :)

You'll need to send the originals of the G325A (the 4 original signed forms for each one of you (8 total)) and the original signed I-129F. The letters of intent also need to be the signed originals. The rest of the evidence can be just copies. I sent the original pictures but the rest of the supporting evidence were copies (plane tix, phone bills, etc.).

Please remember to make 2 exact copies of your petition package for your records. And don't forget to send the check ;)

Good luck!!!

Sol-de-Verano is right. You need to keep the original documents (naturalization certificates, hotel bills etc.) because they are required to show at the interview in the foreign consulate.

For your forms

(I129F, G325A, and letters of intent) you should send originals - photos too with date/location on the back - you can print these on photo paper if you have a color printer.

For your documents -

passport, birth certificate, naturalization cert, divorce decree (if applicable) and similar documents for your fiance, they can (and should) be copies unless otherwise stated on the forms/instructions.

That said - your fiance will need the originals (except passport) for the interview which he/she will carry on them to the interview (in most cases) as backup should the embassy ask for them. He/she should also have a copy of the entire package to review.

Check the Guides section for more information/tips..and also check the Embassy section for comments/reviews for your specific county's embassy.. =)

Welcome to VJ...

All FORMS must be originals with original signatures.

All EVIDENCE can be photo copies.

The I-129f instructions specifically address your question about your natz certificate.
