Greetings from Sunny Miami,

I married in Colombia 10 years ago, and divorced 2 months ago in Miami.

I would like to petition my fiancé on a K-1 Visa. My question is:

  • Is the marriage certificate required to send with the 129-F Form from my previous marriage? or the divorce certificate is enough?

Thank you in advance for your suggestions.

Rafa.

Certified divorce decree from county court that handled your case (Miami-Dade). You will need to get a stamped (official) copy of the divorce decree (dissolution decree) from the civil court clerk that has your records. Make sure it shows everything (date of dissolution, child support, etc.). Don't need to include the Property Settlement Agreement.

Marriage certificates are not needed - just divorce.
