I apologize in advance for this topic, but I'm feeling blue today and need advice and/or a kick in the pants to change my thought process.

I'm from the U.S. and my hubby is from the UK. We were married in April and immediately filed his I-130 and he flew back to England. We have not had the opportunity to be together since.

Our I-130 p/d is 4/22 and it was just transferred to Texas and they have sent out an RFE this past Friday. Just waiting to see what that is about.

Ok, here is where my problems are coming in.

Hubby is planning to come for a vist maybe next month. I'm feeling weak and I know I'm not going to want him to leave. Would it be possible to file adjustment when he gets here (it's honestly a long shot to talk him into it though, he wouldn't want to leave his job hanging without prior notice to them)?

Thoughts on this? Or would we be shooting ourselves in the feet at this point?

Love this forum and everyone here. Great info and advice!

Thank you!

Michelle

hi

not advisable, because he would have immigrant intent committing fraud when he enters the country

he would have to tell the truth at customs, that he is coming to get married and adjust status, which the visa waiver is not for, he probably would be denied entry

and if he omits that, then he lied

if he would have come to visit, and then later change his mind, he could have adjusted status, but now the problem is the intent to adjust status
