Expired green card to be reactivated...?

I used to have a green card when I was a baby but it expired in 2004 and my parents never decided to renew it as it was no longer being used.

Therefore I did not include this number in my original I-129F form.

However, I have just received the Packet 3 from the consulate in England and was surprised to see that my old Alien number had been filled in by hand by the person reviewing our petition.

A barcode had also been applied to the top left of the form, with this number written underneath.

It has also been included on other labels on the front form.

I was wondering if anyone knows whether this means my old green card number will be reactivated upon receiving my visa...?

What will it mean in terms of the Adjustment of Status process?

GCs don't have a number. Your A# is on them but the card doesn't have a different number. An A# is yours for life but for a few exceptions.

Sure they do, it's the same as the case tracking number. It's on the back in the shiny part....hard to see unless you reflect it in light.

You will get a different green card number. You will get a different card number when you remove conditionsome also. Card number fairly irrelevant...I don't know what one would use it for.
