Normally you would be required to as you lived there for more than 6 months but in case of Saudi Arabia, you are not because it's unavailable for non-citizens who do not live in the country anymore.

I'm here again and need some help. My fiancée just filed the K1 Visa last November. He was blind and he receive money from the government and he meet the poverty guidelines but I'm not sure if this is acceptable since the money is from the government.

Saudi Arabia does issue police clearance. Are you still in the kingdom? if yes, you should get an endorsement from the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh or Jeddah, take it to the Police Department who has jurisdiction over your place of employment or residence. If you are no longer in the kingdom, the process is more complicated, to this, i suggest you visit the website of Philippine Embassy in Riyadh, they have instructions about getting police clearance while you are still in the kingdom and when you are no longer in the kingdom.

if it acceptable to not have a police clearance from saudi arabia, much better. but, just in case the issue of getting a police clerance pops up, at least you already know where to begin.

Hello!

Any update on this topic? Did USA require you police clearance in Saudi?

I guess I will be having a complicated process to get one as I did not exit properly in the kingdom. But does it really need for K1 visa application?

Thanks in advance.

LOL for you Yes if you’re in-kingdom

You need a letter from the us embassy or consulate requesting a police certificate.  You have to get that letter attested by some saudi ministry.  Bring it to the police station, they’ll fingerprint you, and you can pick up your certificate a couple weeks later.

THEN you have to get the dang thing officially translated.

It’s a difficult and painful process because you have to pay for that attestation through their government fee pay site before you go and print out the receipt to show them you paid or they will turn you away.  No way to pay there.

Hi, If you are no longer residing  in Saudi Arabia you are good to go. I have so many friends there before and the US embassy didn’t ask the police clearance. We are here already in US..n
