The depth of a small gift...

So you've gone through this process. You've read, heard about and discussed "red flags" and probably had a freak-out or two. You've probably heard more then a dozen times, either implied or directly, "he's just using you." High Fraud Embassy. Gee, aren't they fun?

Then, finally, the consulate spews forth the visa, you're lost a whirl of sudden newness, tidal waves of emotions and change...

His first night out with "the boys" and you're maybe a bit apprehensive. Your cell phone chimes. It's a text message. It says.................

"I miss you."

Things like this a woman remembers for a lifetime.

Well I love the way you put this, as it is so very true all you hear and the negativity and emotions that are gone through during this whole process.

The greatness of being reunited...I am beleiveing it is so absolutley wonderful, I am still waiting for that but pray it is not long form now.

Then to feel him away from you and to get the text that it seems liek he would rather be home then our because that is where you are, his happiness is at home. As a woman I can understand the feeling of not knowing what is going on as he is out with the 'boys', but as you can tell he is thinking of you and missing you! Love is such a wonderful thing and the little things such as a text mean the world. I am so happy for you and knwo all the warm and fuzzies that you must be feeling. God is so great! Enjoy all of Gods Blessings.

Awww.

I too do not have my husband here yet, but can also understand mixed feelings of a first night out with the boys after he is here. I just know getting that text was something very special...I would cherish always.

We too pray for the day of being reunited soon insh'allah, we have been through so much during this process. It has tested us, changed us, pushed us to limits we have never known in our lives, ultimately it has made our love for each other stronger. Real love is such a true blessing from God.
