So I have two questions to the broad experience of the board.

I received a RFE for not filling out a question on my i129, (it was asking my prior convictions and I didn't have any so left it blank, not seeing the way to say no.) That was sent out on July 27, I received it on August 1, sent it back filled out on August 2. I'm not sure how much longer I'm going to have to wait for this approval. Curious whether it keeps my place in the queue prior to the RFE, or if I'm reset and have to wait for both approvals to come through as I did in May, or something in between. Just trying to make my best estimate for when her interview will be so I can plan a trip to support her.

The other question is about dual citizenship, is there something I need to do to gain Dominican citizenship with the K-1 visa process? And the same for my fiance able to retain her citizenship there while gaining American? Or have I misunderstood and it's way way after AoS and all of that?

Just trying to make my best estimate for when her interview will be so I can plan a trip to support her. It may or may not delay the case. There is no way to determine definitely.

The other question is about dual citizenship, is there something I need to do to gain Dominican citizenship with the K-1 visa process? US immigration has nothing to do with obtaining DR citizenship. You have to follow DR's rules for obtaining it. I speculate that you would have to reside legally in the country for a certain period of years, paying taxes, etc. And the same for my fiance able to retain her citizenship there while gaining American? Or have I misunderstood and it's way way after AoS and all of that? She is only at the beginning stages of immigrating to the US. In order for her to become a US citizen she would have to remove conditions in 2 years to obtain a 10 year green card. Then after that, if she is still married to you she can apply for citizenship after 3 years of living in the US as a permanent resident. If you two are divorced she will have to wait after she has had 5 years of living in the US as a permanent resident.

Not sure on the first one, I think it doesn't matter

DR citizenship has nothing to do with US citizenship. It's not too difficult (answering questions), but I believe you have to live there for several years, pay through taxes, and jump through hoops.

Check out the guides for your fiance. :)
