Hello Everyone,

My name is Chris, I am probably asking the question that many people ask but I just cannot find a firm answer to this question. Here my story..

I was arrested beginning of 2016 and given a Fixed Penalty Notice (£90) fine for Drunk and Disorderly. (which is not a conviction, caution, final warning, etc) Apart from being absolutely disgusted in myself and behavior I now feel I have messed up all chances to marry the women I love when we apply for the J1 Visa in the coming months. I have applied for a ACRO Police Certificate which DOES state 'NO LIVE TRACE' I have also done a subject access request which has given me the information about the arrest and all the information on the UK's Police National Computer about me. I would really like to hear from anyone who has managed to get a K1 Visa in the same or similar situation as myself.

I know I have to admit to this on my applications and I have all the documentation (even the bloody ticket they give me!)

Has anyone has any arrests and made it through no problem?

I am sorry that im asking this but Im going out of my mind with worry thinking its going to be gameover before its even started.

Thanks for any advice or stories in advance

Chris

People with arrests, warnings, etc have made it through the visa process in London. Can't specifically remember every case but to give you an idea of ones I do recall--

Switching the tax disk to another vehicle.

Talking a traffic cone and caught with it on his head

Marijuana

Shoplifting

You've got the right documentation.

You should be absolutely fine!

I had my interview at London.

I had a reprimand from being caught shoplifting when I was 14 and I had no problems with getting a visa.

The good thing about your case is that it's not an act that involves moral turpitude, therefore it doesn't make you inadmissible by any means.

Having the police subject access report is handy so they can see that is the only thing on your record.

I would hand over the documents and when they ask about it (if they do), then just be honest and show you're a little embarrassed by the situation. That seemed to help with me!

Good luck!
