The website went from ready to administrative process and on the 11th it said issued. My husband asked me to call and ask if it's ready to pick up. Because he can't get anyone when he calls. The first time I called the lady said I had to have case number and Passport number so I had to call back with the passport number. I got a person who sounded new and unsure and kept reading a script. Said I had to set up a profile for him so she did that. Then she said he had to wait for an email notification from the embassy. I don't know if she knows what she's talking about. It's Lagos Nigeria. What do y'all think? Ready for pick up?

Lagos issues Visa 14 days later just like they say at interview. The website doesn't give any info. Just go pickup after its been 14 days is best (some have had it as early as 10 days but they went to Visa center. ). They know nothing there. Sorry.

When I got my Visa, it said "issued" even before I got to the airport to fly home.
I think that's their way of saying it's "approved".

The waiting time is for them to print the actual Visa, and send the passport to your pickup location.

Be patient. The hard part is done now!!

Congratulations!!

What I miss most about Canada, in no particular order:

My family!

My friends!

KD!

Hawkins Cheezies!

Poutine!

Lays Ketchup Chips!

What I don't miss:

-40 degree weather

They really haven't got the wording down. Issued just means the embassy is done with all their AP work and has issued the Visa. Meaning they have sent your passport and your Visa package to the Visa center for printing. You can always go to center and check or just wait like they said at interview and pick up after 14 days.

We lived to far to go in. They gave passport back after interview. So my husband had to make an extra trip back to Lagos (8 hr bus ride)5 days after interview to drop off passport. Ap for 5 days unbelievable. We just said we will get Visa when I leave Nigeria it was ready 7 days after it changed to Issued.

So its up to your husband to go check. I really don't think they have a clue on the phone or online in person is best.
