How to prove domicile? (DCF Bangkok)

Hey everyone, I'm preparing packet 3. My husband has moved back to America ahead of me to find a job (lived in Thailand for 8 years with me). Now How do I prove that he is not in Thailand anymore and if proof of Domicile is still needed? Is one way ticket and stamped on his passport when he entered the US enough?

Thank you!

I don't know if they'll require proof of domicile in your case, but what you suggested is proof of travel - not domicile.

Driver's licence, proof of employment, housing, bank accounts etc (others can give a better list) would be proof of domicile.

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.

We did DCF together back in 2012. I did not have to prove domicile, I had to prove intent to domicile. We had bank / retirement accounts and credit cards addressed in the US before we applied.

Yea but isn't flying back a proof of intending to re-establish domicile? right now I have his voter registration, a letter from his dad who is my joint sponsor saying that we will permanently live with him, emails from school that we will enroll our USC kid in, Bank account, driver license renewal. Personally I believe that going back ahead of me is a strong piece of proof. I might be wrong.

Hi Expat1

DO you think my list looks good?

voter registration, a letter from his dad who is my joint sponsor saying that we will permanently live with him, emails from school that we will enroll our USC kid in, emails from companies for job interviews (he didn't get the job tho), Bank account, driver license renewal

Thank you.

The other items you list looks good, and similar to what others have presented (disclaimer is I don't know anything about how strict your consulate is).

A ticket could just be for a vacation - doesn't prove anything.

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.
