London Medical Question

Hello hello

So I received our NVC number on Friday (yay) and waited until this morning to book the medical. Booked it for next Monday - so that'll be out of the way and I don't need to stress about it anymore - phew.

Now in the email they sent me they say I need a letter or email from the embassy confirming my case number as well as the visa category.... the embassy has not yet received the case from NVC.... is this going to be an issue? Should I push back the medical?

I've seen quite a few people book the medical once they get the number from NVC, I didn't think this would be an issue, but now I am concerned.

Thanks

K1

I used the interview confirmation print out at my medical. By the time of your medical you should have been able to book it.

Complete your required forms now ds160 and readiness form and then once your case has changed to 'in transit' the day after you should be able to book your interview.

FYI as of now 4th August is the earliest interview date.

Sooooo everyone else of course got their NVC number and then their cases went straight into transit.... Mine hasn't and to move the medical they ask for 3 working days.... Should I call tomorrow and move it a week back? Cause I don't want to get to the medical on Monday and pay £95 because they won't see me due to lack of embassy letter/interview confirmation.

Has anyone attended the London medical without such confirmation? I ideally need a response tonight, so I can see what I do come tomorrow! Thanks

Yes, lots of people. They don't actually require it. They will not turn you away.

  • 4 weeks later...

I did the same thing... received case number yesterday and booked medical for monday August 8th. Right now CEAC still says "at NVC." I have submitted an inquiry to the NVC in order to have an email with my case number, so hopefully that will suffice.

Lisa K and MandEJ, did everything work out for you guys?
