hi. sorry for this very noob question but how does 1 know they meet the 125% income requirement?

my fiance is a dual citizen, been in the us for 10yrs went back to the ph to study culinary and then got back to the us last 2014. hes been working as a chef/cook for this restaurant for 2 years now and gets around $900 every 2weeks.

would you think he will meet the income eligibility requirement even though we have a 3yo son whos coming with me?

he lives with his mom and dad and is willing to co sponsor and help us for the first couple of years if ever we get approved. i also work for insurance and im pretty sure i should be able to get a job when i get there someday. but we heard us embassy doesnt honor co sponsorship so were kind of confused.

we got our noa1 june 8 and currently waiting for noa2. thanks in advance for your response

For a family of 3, you need a minimum of $25,200 annual income.

USEM will accept the income level for a party of three at $20,160 for a family of three. At time of AOS you will need $25,200. As it stands now you should have no problems at your interview with your family's income. USEM requires the financial information on a case by case basis. So you could go to the interview and not be asked for financial information ie. I-134. Prepare the necessary information as outlined in the Embassy letter.

I'm assuming your filing for a K-1 but your profile lists "other". You may want to change that so others can see what visa your chasing as answers to your question will vary depending on the visa class.

On my retirement income we qualified for 100% but not 125% for a family of 6. No problem with interview or AOS. Of course your mileage will very.

Even with AOS they allowed 100%?? Now that is interesting, how did you pull that one off? I-864 states 125 % exception being active military, page 7, item 3-17.

I suppose it was one of those anomalies that happens at USEM.
