I-601 processing time question

Hi all,

The Nebraska Service Center received my form I-601 in September last year. They are working on cases from October 16th of last year. My status still comes up as 'Case Was Received' and I have not received anything in the mail. Is it possible that they did not even get to my case yet? Or should I expect something in the mail soon considering the circumstances? Or should I contact the embassy to confirm?

I think you should wait. That update is as April ,30th. You should get something soon. Mine is from Nov/2015.

Thanks, hoping to hear something soon. I mean if they are working on cases from October and they received mine the month before, unless there's a problem with my case, I would assume I'm going to hear something soon! Good luck to you too!

Here is a link where you can check the processing times at the Nebraska service center. According to my immigration lawyer, keep in contact with the embassy and notify them that you still want your application open. I had one year to complete my work sheet after my interview, and I have stayed in contact with them.

It won't let me post the link, but just Google 'Nebraska service center processing times,' and follow the link to the website and it will tell you the processing times there.
