Flying out of Lagos

My fiance is going to be flying out of Lagos. We're having trouble finding a decently priced flight. I know it's cheaper to book a round-trip flight and cancel the second leg of the flight so that's what we plan on doing.

What airline did you fly with? How far out did you book your ticket for? In what price range did you purchased it?

I use delta. I fly out of st Louis. It has been as cheap as almost $900 and as high as $1400. When you search use the option to look 3 days out from your date. Different days are cheaper. I chose one with just one stop and it was about 18 hours including the lay over. I've booked a couple months in advance and also just a week advance. You can still find a deal unless its around a special holiday.

Booked my husband 1 way on Emirates for $941 (Round trip would have been $1200. Go to Skypicker.com great site . One way is cheaper.

We didn't want long overstays and we wanted hm to POE in our city Houston. So he will be going Lagos to Dubai change pans layover is 1 1/2 hours. Than Dubai straight to Houston for POE.

He will b arriving next week we bought the tickets last month. Of course do not buy a ticket until you actually have Visa in hand. So he picked up Visa May 20th and we booked May 28th for a June 28th flight.

Congratulations on your approval. I like using Delta airlines. However, I remember the Delta airline ticket price being a lot higher than DWheels quoted with Emirates (Delta was over $1k). Delta's ticket prices are higher when you leave Nigeria to the US versus leaving the US to arrive in Nigeria. Best wishes to you!

Dwheels in right on track. We used the same flight to POE Houston for $983.00 per ticket. We had 3 tickets! We booked the tickets on 5/4 and flew out 5/7.

AP usually is 2 to 4 days with an approval at Interview. Than it goes back to READY sometimes than ISSUED.

July tickets are slightly increasing but skypicker has way better rates still can get pretty good rates.

Qatar airways is reasonable. If it is really tight Arik flies to NYC for like $600 but say a prayer though. That is on any of them really.

United has a non-stop to Houston. I flew it the last time I went to Lagos but it's pretty pricey unless you catch it at the right time. I saw it online once for about $900 and decided to get the ticket when I got home from work. By the time I got home it had gone up to around $1300! I kept watching and finally caught it for $1100.
