Interview confusion!

Hi. Me and my husband (US citizen) applied on my AOS last year and yesterday we received finally our interview notice wohoo!!!

BUT it has some confusion.

Because on a website it says

"Request for Initial Evidence Was Mailed

On June 14, 2016, we mailed a request for initial evidence for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, Receipt Number ********. The request for evidence explains what we need from you. We will not take action on your case until we receive the evidence or the deadline to submit it expires. Please follow the instructions in the request for evidence.

. If you do not receive your request for evidence by July 14, 2016 etc."

And it says I should recive it on form i797

But I received simple piece of paper saying

"Date June 14, 2016

Please come to the office shown below

Office location:_____

Date and time:______

Officer:______

Reason for appointment:__form i485/ i130

So I'm confused,

Is it Request for initial evidence or I should expect another letter??

By the way I called customer service and they don't know too. So they told me just wait, but they guess that's what it is.

May be someone had the same situation!?????

I would go to the appointment listed in the notice you received. Take everything with you, as if having an interview. You can ask about the RFE status when there.

Yes, that's what I'm going to do. Else it says please bring:

-each other

-evidence of marriage

-new medical form cause previous expired.

I was thinking that's probably initial evidence request.
