POE question - Austin, Texas

Hey,

I have looked on the forums and message boards and couldn't figure it out - when our K1 is approved and I am good to book my flight, my fiancé is in Austin, Texas. Can I fly direct to him there, using Austin Bergstrom as my POE? Or are there designated POE's you have to fly to, before continuing on to your destination?

Have you looked up whether there is even a direct flight into Austin from abroad? (Just asking because I doubt there is. You will most likely have your POE elsewhere and then take a connecting flight or two to get to Austin.) You're allowed to enter through any POE, so it doesn't really matter where you fly through.

There is a direct flight from London to Austin, I have flown it many times.

Then that will be your POE. (A POE is just wherever you land FIRST that has a US Customs and Border Patrol checkpoint.)

The first airport that you touch down in the US will be your POE. If Austin is that airport, then no problem. Safe travels
