I concur with this timeline. By the way, the Bogota finger print office is open on Saturdays so if you have an interview at the beginning or end of the week and need to squeeze in your finger printing

It's pretty big. When I came home from Colombia that was the airport I had to change. They're were 6 fights arriving at similar time. They're were really long lines, especially on the non citizen line

Avoid Atlanta at all cost got it!

My fiance insist that I should make my first stop in MiAmi but we couldn't find a good flight there, we got lucky!

Well everything is ready here. Tomorrow I'll flight on JetBlue to FLL then at night the spirit airlines to Myrtle beach.

I'm carrying lots of pills! I won't they won't think I'm gonna sell them there ??

Around 700 pills for three months

If you have a prescription it's very helpful.. If your worried, run out to serviatrenga and mail the majority and carry what you need.

I'm site you will be perfectly fine. I've brought 90 pills of each 5 prescriptionsamd they never asked amd I've been "chosen" for an extra hand search.

Enjoy your momentous flight. We are so happy for you!!! I'm sure you fiance is crazy with excitement!

  • February 15, 2019 - Credit Card Charged;
  • February 19, 2019 - Electronic Notification Rec'd, Case Location LIN - Nebraska;
  • February 21, 2019 - Received NOA with 18 month extension for wife ONLY, not 14yo dependent who is on application;
  • March 12, 2019      - Notified USCIS that we never rcvd i797 for 14 yo minor, they provided a case # and submitted a Svc Request
  • May 2.2019             -  No forward motion, we called again and despite there was an officer assigned to this service request nothing happened/ no extension. We filed an InfoPass and have an appointment for Monday 6th for passport stamp.
  • May 6, 2019 - Attended InfoPass appointment in Philadelphia local USCIS local office for 930. This was for a never rcvd 797 for our 14yo dependent. Arrived 9:15, not crowded at all. No extra photos or fingerprint taken. We were in the car (lots of parking available) at 945. Pleasant female officer, she updated and checked for no changes. Stamped passport, explained is valid for 1 year. The took the green card which expired 5/4/19. No issues or problems.. I asked about the non receipt and she said it's pretty common.. 
  • August 23 - Biometrics NOA, scheduled for 9/3 @1pm
  • September 3 - Biometrics
  • September 4 -Fingerprint Review was completed
  • January 8 - ROC, Card Being Processed, Citizenship is next!
  • January 15 2020  - Cards Delivered

 

N400 Citizenship :)

 

  • November 28, 2020     - N400 Filed online and paid via CC

Oh can I ship them? I ask around and everyone said no no, I have to take 8 pills per day for my thyroid

And yes I got my prescription and my medical history in case they ask.

Should I carry them in my checked bag or my hand bag?

And thank you oh I'm soooo excited I can't wait for tomorrow!

No, in most circumstances it is illegal to ship medications! Carry your medications in your carry on bag or personal item and have proof of prescriptions (the label should be sufficient. Many medications in USA like antibiotics require a prescription but not in Colombia.

There are many instances when you might want to send a prescription through the mail. Perhaps your mom left on a trip and forgot her medicine, or you want to send some of your prescriptions to a different address when you travel. However, mailing prescription drugs is illegal except in a few certain situations.

Mailing prescriptions is only allowed by entities that are registered with the DEA. You can send a prescription if either you or the receiver is exempt from DEA registration.

Thank you for the information is really useful.

Well I guess ill carry them all in my hand bag and everything will be good, I've seen how they do extra check in the bags in that t.v. show about the Bogota airport, it's kind of scary and they pretty much ruin everything and don't help you 're pack haha

I definitely sent it both ways, to and from Colombia. I never lied on the customs form either. The only thing I did was make sure I put more cotton in the bottles to have them not shake and rattle. I still didn't want to draw any additional attention lol.

If you decide to take them, what I did was take a month's supply in my travel bag and the bulk in checked luggage. If they lost my malleta I still would have enough time to refill.

I'll tell you it's definitely easier with meds in Colombia. You just go and buy without prescription from doctor. Now in New York all prescriptions have to be transferred by The doctor to pharmacy ELECTRONICALLY only. This is two weeks old, just fyi.

Serviatrenga was a little cheaper amd Deptrisa which is through Avianca, is more expensive and faster.

I don't know Brian. I thought the exact same way as you stated but that was only with FED EX or DHL Now my sister sends my meds to Colombia every three months through USPS religiously. The counter person ALWAYS wants to see what was in the shipping box and they never rejected prescriptions They were not controlled substances. I always filled out customs forms that noted each of the four or five meds individually, amounts, potency etc. Also included prescriptions forms. Just my experience and again I never tried to lie. I've also had mailed prescription.medication to me from Colombia I had forgotten.

Well thank you David, I'll check on servientrega like you said those are some really expensive meds and at my eps only gave me two months and will give me the rest on September, so I had to buy one month myself.

I can leave a copy of the prescription to my mom and shell send me the rest. Thank you.

And that's such a entertaining tv show, it gives me a little bit of nerves to go there ?

My wife traveled here with 90 days of thyroid medication in her bag, although luckily she only takes a single pill a day, not 8. Good luck!

p.s. My wife's family sometimes refer to her as Carito
