If you got an email saying you can go ahead and schedule the interview, go ahead and do it...no need to wait for the packet in the mail. Then applicant can have her medical exam, Saint Luke's website should have a list of document you can bring as proof ( it's either a copy of that email or the interview appointment confirmation...not sure which of the two, sorry) good luck!

Ooops..just realized Hank gave you a detailed answer already ??

Hi all,

May I please ask your advise concerning our case. Our case is now ready as per CEAC. I have a son who was declared in the I-129F of my petitioner who is also his biological father. I am taking Hank's advise to proceed with processing without waiting for the eligibility letter. I am about to pay our visa fee but I was told by the agent who is helping us with our requirements that I only need to pay one visa fee since was son was not applied as K2 but rather as derivative of my case. Hope to hear your input guyz!

I have just registered in this portal and a newbie.

Thanks!

If the USC petitioner is the father of the child then that is correct you pay ONE visa fee, you print out only 1 deposit slip.

Now here is the big question, being the petitioner is the father of the child have you completed CRBA (Consulate Report of Birth Abroad) getting the child's birth recognized so that he has his U.S. passport? If not - THAT must be done before completing the interview.

Now I am on the DS160

Just verifying but the photo is of the Beneficiary?

All information and passport numbers are of the beneficiary?

Im pretty sure I just want to be sure. Thanks

Yes the beneficiary... YOU are not applying for a visa ;)

Do note:

Other people can assist you with your visa application. Note that under U.S. law (22 C.F.R. 41.103) you must electronically sign and submit your own application unless you qualify for an exemption. Even if someone else helped you complete the application, you (the applicant) must click the “Sign Application” button, or your application may not be accepted.

Yup you did it correctly!

Won't ask for the DS-160, so you are good.

Do get the DS-160 done before the medical as SLEC will ask for a copy of the confirmation page on the 2nd day.
