think of not when you will get the NOA2..... but when you will see the one you love.....

i admit - its easy for me to say all this now when day before yesterday i was in your shoes...... but in my heart all this time i knew that it would go through because they had absolutely no reason to ask me for RFE or deny me.....

my head said otherwise...lol..

ken you'll get it shortly!

we got it ... and with no RFE ......

actually we had friends who did the same thing we did and we followed all their advice to the letter.......... so i guess that helped......

We have a couple red flags that may cause RFE, but we'll see. I think we have sent enough evidence to cover all the bases, but we'll wait and see.

1. We have a 16 year age difference (I am older).

2. We filed only a few days after my divorce was final.

I think I read these things can be questioned. I don't think they are big deals, but it would not suprise me if they are questioned.

Don't worry about that man, we have a 13 year age difference and the ink was still wet on my decree...your NOA2 is coming...

The lady from my congressman's office just called me. She said that she spoke with someone from the CSC. The lady she talked to was nice and told her that it takes about 2 weeks to enter the RFE information and update it to my account. The lady told her to call back next Friday for more info. Perhaps there is still hope for me! lol

I imagine that was the standard CSC response, just like the website for the processing times. You should hear something soon...better keep that head up girl...it's coming...

They always give "worse case" data when you speak to them. Watching RFE's on here, I have noticed people get fast approvals when you send the center the requested info! What did you say to me about staying positive? DO THAT. ;)

Hey, I called with the RFE trick (it is frightening when you hit the RFE keys and it says "you need to send the information specified"; presumably it says this to anyone that hits those keys whether their case got an RFE or not.

Anyway, the guy told me that my case was marked to be approved on the 4th!

But, he said it was not send to the NVC yet, and the NOA2 has not been generated or sent yet. Why would there be a 2 week delay in that?

It sounds like this is the same story that everyone else is going - what have people's experiences been between being told they were approved, and actually being sent to the NVC and receiving the NOA2?

But overall, good news!!

1/24/07 - I-129F mailed to Nebraska Service Center

2/4/07 - I-129F returned to me, needs original signature

2/5/07 - I-129F re-submitted to California Service Center

2/9/07 - I-129F received per CSC; I never received hard copy NOA1

2/14/07 - Touch

3/11/07 - Still awaiting snail mail NOA1

4/18/07 - Touch

5/4/07 - Touch - "Marked for approval" per RFE trick phone call 5/18

5/7/07 - Touch

5/18/07 - Received and entered at NVC per phone call!

5/21/07 - NOA2

5/22/07 - Forwarded to embassy

5/23/07 - Paper NOA2

Great news! The 4th sounds kind of hokey and maybe its a standard response so we don't hound them every day.

Watch the USCIS site and keep us posted. Congrats!!!

Marked to be approved on the 4th? It's now the 18th, thats 14 days. Did they run out of paper? Ink maybe? Officers stuck in the bathroom due to constipation problems? I praise you for your positive attitude, but I would be pissed. USCIS has been markedly more innefficient than their usual totally innefficient way. Well, I am all riled up once more about those turds. I hope you get your approval soon, and kudos once again for being positive.

CSC had to deal with all the H1B applications that came in. There were over 100,000 applications for 60,000 visas. Of course CSC doesnt get all of them, but being that a large number of tech companies are located on the west coast, they get quite a few of them. Until those are out the door, everything at the CSC has slowed down alot.

To be honest Ken, your story was the only one that sounded like they were really covering their butt - I think they just said yours was in line to be looked at, and maybe your prodding got them to finally look at it, which is great!

Seems like everyone else who got theirs approved '2 weeks ago' got their NOA2 sent or mailed around that time...it seems like my 'marked to be approved, but NOA2 not generated yet' is kind of unique, and I wonder if I should prod them further. Maybe next week I'll see if my call today had any result.
