Thanks everyone for the tips and advice! So I went on with the interview this morning with my husband, yeah the pre-screener asked whether the signatures on the form i-864 by my husband and my joint sponsor are original, I said yes. My husband's signature on the form is original. My joint sponsor's signature on the form is original, but the copy is scanned (I don't know how that made sense) but more importantly, no other questions after that. My visa got approved!!!!

Thank God and thanks to all VJ experts here who never tire to answer questions no matter how silly they are. God bless u guys!

What time was your interview and how long did it take? My fiancee's was scheduled at 9:00 AM and I still haven't heard from her. (K1 might be different, I know)

My interview sched was 7:30, and we were done by 10am

Your joint sponsor's signature is not original UNLESS he signed THAT scanned copy. The copy you have is of a document with an original signature, but the copy you gave to the embassy does NOT have an original signature.

In reality you lied at the interview.

I guess so. I keep telling the pre-screener it is a scanned copy though. I dunno maybe he just couldn't distinguish well the difference. I was anticipating it would come up again and the American consul would ask about it as he checked the documents himself. But he didn't ask anything about it. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't necessarily encourage people to bring in a scanned copy, that's a fault in my part. I guess I just got lucky. Maybe it would come up later to haunt me, maybe not. But they issued me the visa so..

That is mostly the point I am making, not taking a shot at you ... just that others read old posts looking for information is all, next person may not be lucky.

Does you status show ISSUED already? (congrats if is does!! ) I see that quite often with immigrant visas, status changes to ISSUED very quickly, K-1 can only dream of being approved so quickly

Ours still says ready. I gather from other comments that K1 Visas can take a bit longer.

I take that back. It JUST changed to administrative processing, which all cases are in at some point.

@Hank, just to clarify.. once I get my visa that's when I can pay at the ELIS site for the greencard right?

Not Hank but yes, once you have the visa you can pay the ELIS immigrant fee. Keep a record of the IOE number and the ELIS account number.
